Equine Adventure: Kids’ Riding Camp at Cedar Ridge Ranch takes place on a family-owned working horse ranch that has been home to the horse community for more than 20 years. The leadership team includes Pam Johnson (Mother, Owner, Creator), Randy Johnson (Father, owner, worker), and Merrill Johnson (Daughter, Manager, Visionary). Merrill was a sustainability student at Colorado Mountain College (CMC), and Randy received his MBA from the University of Dayton Ohio and worked with IBM, Drexel Burnham Lambert as an investment banker, and most recently as executive VP with Gamon International. The ranch is a working farm with animals including horses, alpacas, pigs, and other livestock, and it also offers alpaca yoga, horseback riding, kids’ camps, farm tours, wellness programs, and stargazing. Cedar Ridge Ranch supports other creative entrepreneurs in the valley and opens the farm to other farmers to support and provide more local nutritious food in the community. The mission of the family farm states that family is at the heart of everything they do, with a shared dream of building connection, inspiring creativity, celebrating life, and being stewards of the land.
