Explorer Camp Castle Rock includes outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and biking. Each day also includes creative and movement-based activities like yoga, art, music, and storytime yoga. Campers are encouraged to bring their own bike for biking day, with training wheels removed before camp.

Explorer Camp Castle Rock runs in one-week sessions from Monday through Friday, with core camp hours from 9 AM to 3 PM and extended care available from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. Instructors are at least 18 years old and have safety and skills training, and the camper-to-staff ratio is 5:1. Parents and campers meet staff at a consistent location daily, Avid4 Adventure transports campers to recreation areas for the day’s adventure sport, and groups return to the same facility for afternoon pick up. Campers use professional-caliber, top-of-the-line gear that is specifically sized for kids, and Avid4 Adventure provides transportation to and from recreation areas.
