Rock Climbing Summer Camps teach campers on some of the most iconic formations in the area, with a variety of routes and rock types. There are no prerequisite skills or experience needed, but rock climbing campers should have a desire to climb and learn more about the sport.
The program is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which promises an authentic outdoor adventure, incredibly well-trained and professional staff, and increased confidence, and if Avid4 Adventure does not meet these promises, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free. Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Instructors are described as insatiable outdoors experts who love adventuring and working with kids, are all 18 and older, and have serious safety and skills training. The leadership team is headed by David Secunda, former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. Avid4 Adventure states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that kids at Avid4 Adventure build confidence, make new friends, and master essential skills in activities like paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking.
Avid4 Adventure is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. The organization notes that programs evolve as campers grow, from age 3 to 17, and that its summer camps are highly acclaimed.
Parent testimonials describe Avid4 Adventure as a camp where a child learned to ride a bike without training wheels and discovered new favorite activities like stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, and biking, and as a well-run program with mature, responsible staff who are excited to share their passion with kids. Another parent reports that their kids had “the best time” at camp, stayed active every day, and still talk about the experience over a month later.
