About the provider
El Paso County Nature Centers says its mission is to connect people to natural and cultural resources and inspire them to become stewards for parks and the environment. Its community involvement includes online registration for programs and events, family outdoor clubs, nature center volunteers, membership, donations and gifts, a rotating art exhibit, and a postcard design contest. It has also received awards including the 2017 National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials Outstanding Support Organization award for Friends of El Paso County Nature Centers and the 2014 Pikes Peak Earth Day Greenie Award in the Environmental Category for Fountain Creek Nature Center.

The Nature Centers are open to the general public Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Nature Center programming takes priority in scheduling throughout the year. Special seating arrangements may be requested and will be accommodated if possible. Available items for rentals include chairs, tables, podium, AV equipment, flip chart stand, and screens. Prohibited items include alcohol, smoking, unsupervised youth, barbeque grills, rice/confetti, and helium balloons.
