About the provider

The program was developed by Colorado Springs Sports Corporation in partnership with Colorado Springs School District 11 and Skyhawks Sports. Each sport session is led by coaches certified through Skyhawks Sports, and coaches are required to pass a background check, become CPR/First Aid certified, complete Positive Coaching Alliance certification, complete SafeSport certification, shadow and train with experienced coaches, and attend yearly staff training of 20+ hours.

Students report directly to the gym after the final school bell to check in with YES coaches. Program end time is 4:00 PM sharp. Families are expected to arrive on time for pick-up; if a student is not picked up by 4:00 PM, a coach will contact the parent/guardian. Behavior policy emphasizes respect, teamwork, inclusion, leadership, and sportsmanship. Zero tolerance policy: bullying, physical fighting, or aggressive, abusive, or threatening language or gestures toward students or staff results in immediate and permanent dismissal.
