Tiger Kim’s Academy Martial Arts Programs offers Taekwondo classes, Tang Soo Do classes, Hapkido classes, Muay Thai kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) classes, an Introductory Program, Women’s Self Defense Class, Birthday Parties, Tournaments, Movie Nite, Halloween party, and an annual school picnic. It also offers after-school enrichment classes in select Denver Public Schools and a one- to two-week introductory program that includes an official Tiger Kim uniform and unlimited classes.
Programs
- Enrichment classes after school in select Denver Public Schools — After school on select days; on site during and after school on select days; free class on Fridays and Saturdays at TKA during enrichment sessions · Available at Bromwell Elementary, Amos Steck Elementary, and Denver Green School. Please check with your school for days and times.
- Introductory Program — One or two weeks · Includes an official Tiger Kim uniform and unlimited classes.
- Taekwondo Classes — Designed to help students of all ages develop physical strength, improve coordination, and enhance flexibility.
- Tang Soo Do Classes — Traditional martial arts instruction focused on mind, body, and spirit.
- Hapkido Classes — Self-defense classes using strikes, joint locks, and throws.
- Muay Thai kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) classes — Professional instructors combine various martial arts disciplines into a full-contact MMA training program.
- Women’s Self Defense Class — First Sunday of each month; 10:30am-12:00pm; except when a holiday is present then class will be on the following Sunday · $5 donation for BCRF.
- Birthday Parties — Party lasts 1 1/2 hours and includes a special class with Tiger Kim’s instructors for 40 mins.
- Tournaments — Hosted every year · All schools are welcome to take part in competition.
- Movie Nite — Usually happens once a month · Watch a martial arts movie or current release on the projection system.
- Halloween party — At Halloween · Dress-up party with fun, food, and prizes.
- Annual school picnic — Annually · Held out at City Park with a large potluck barbeque.

About the provider
Tiger Kim’s Academy was founded by Great Grandmaster Tiger Kim and is led by Grandmaster Tiger Kim. The academy has operated since 1976, is the longest-running Kukkiwon-certified Taekwondo school in Colorado, and has trained upwards of 11,100 students over its history. It is officially a Denver Legacy Business, and leadership directs the Rocky Mountain National Open and America’s Cup tournaments annually.
