Bella Dance Studio

Bella Dance Studio offers Tiny Tots for ages 18 months-3, an introductory class with ballet, tap, and jazz, and parents can participate in the room. It also offers Starz for ages 3-5, plus ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, Petite Technique for ages 4-5, and Mini Jazz.

• Ballet — Exploration of classical ballet technique for performance and proper building of posture and muscle development.
• Jazz — Classic and modern fusion of jazz styles, including basic technique, turns, leaps, and choreography to upbeat music.
• Tap — Classic and modern style technique and choreography.
• Musical Theatre — Jazz technique with a Broadway vibe, acting exercises, lip syncing, and character building.
• Lyrical — Ballet technique used in a choreographic and expressive way to the lyrics of songs; focus on storytelling.
• Contemporary — Fusion of all dance styles for a uniquely artistic dance experience; focus on shapes, storytelling, and expression.
• Hip Hop — Mix of hip hop techniques: locking, popping, house, street dance. Learn foot work, body isolations, and rhythm through technique exercises and choreography.
• Bella Dance Company — 5-18 · Award-winning performance and competition team for students seeking more performance opportunity; students travel to take classes at convention and perform and compete.

Bayfield dance classes: Fridays; Starz 3-5, 11:45-12:30; Mini/Junior Exploration 7-11, 12:30-1:30; Teen Exploration 12-18, 1:30-2:30. Bella Dance Company audition dates listed for May 12-15 with class times by level.

About the provider

Bella Dance Studio is home to Bella Dance Company, which is described as an award-winning performance and competition team for students ages 5-18. The studio says its purpose is to provide each student with the highest quality dance training while guiding them to develop artistically, and students also perform locally 2-3 times per year.

• Open Enrollment — through March 1

All class placements are at the discretion of Bella Dance Studio faculty and/or the Studio Director. Parents are responsible for tuition charges until withdrawal email is received. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. No credit is given for absences or vacations. Students may take a make-up class in place of missed classes. Virtual classes will be offered if classes cannot be held in person. Recital fees are per class and non-refundable. Costumes will be ordered through the studio and handed out in Spring before the performance.
