The organization states that the season is open to players of all abilities and that competitive and recreational players are combined on teams. Volunteer coaches and umpires are described as the heart of the baseball and softball programs, and Durango Baseball & Softball holds monthly board meetings, with the next board meeting scheduled for Monday, March 9, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

The volunteer board includes President Frank Mutz, Vice President Kyle Gibbons, Treasurer Tim Smith, Softball Coordinator Sara Clair, a Baseball Coordinator position, Durango School District Representative Masen Hibbeler, a Camps & Clinics Coordinator position, Travel Baseball Coordinator Jordan Dimick, Umpire-In-Chief Scott Carbaugh, Field/Equipment Coordinator Eric Hjermstad, Fundraising Coordinator Lindsay Lubrant, and an Alpine Bank Representative position, with the Secretary and Camps & Clinics Coordinator roles listed as vacant voting positions. The organization thanks its generous sponsors for supporting Durango Baseball & Softball in the spring season and notes appreciation for their commitment to building the community and creating positive and meaningful opportunities for children in Southwest Colorado. If a family needs financial assistance, the program offers a scholarship application process with instructions to wait for further guidance before registering.
