About
Stage Door Summer Music Theatre Program focuses on music, theatre, and the arts, including singing, dancing, rehearsing, and reading a whole new story and making it a full show. Participants spend time creating their character and bringing it to life in the lights and on the stage while working together to put together a play from soup to nuts.

• Schedule: Coming Summer of 2026 June 8th – June 28th
Over 15 years in the making, Stage Door Summer Music Theatre Program is led by Amy Moritz. Stage Door states that it provides children with a safe and supportive atmosphere to experience music, theatre and the arts, and that through cooperation and experiences it strives to guide children in gaining confidence, creativity and leadership in the arts. One Stage Door parent shared that their child, who has extremely bad ADHD, became comfortable with himself and expressed himself through singing and dancing, and that he said Stage Door was the best thing he has ever done and he feels like he fits somewhere. Another parent described being dumbfounded at how instructors captured the kids’ attention and put together a play from soup to nuts in less than three weeks’ time. A Stage Door actor, age 13, described it as a fun experience and an awesome learning opportunity, and another actor, age 12, said they love creating their character, bringing it to life on stage, rehearsing with many nice people, and reading a whole new story and making it a full show. A parent noted that their child loved coming every day and continued singing the songs and repeating lines at home, and another parent said they loved that everyone had a part and that the camaraderie was great. A 12-year-old Stage Door actor said Stage Door was the best part of their summer, that they met amazing people, that there is no bullying and everybody embraces who kids want to be, and that they became a better dancer, singer, and actor from Stage Door.
