In its first year, the program had 3 high school teams and 3 middle school teams, and it now serves over 100 players each year. The program states that it is devoted to teaching athletes how to compete at a high level and focuses on the skills development required for high school players to compete at the college level. Its mission includes teaching the values of hard work, responsibility, self discipline, motivation, and team play, and it emphasizes character, family, and education. Colorado Basketball Club describes itself as an official grassroots program for highly talented and dedicated players and as being built for Colorado players looking to play at the next level, with a focus on preparing female athletes for the next level of play. The program states that it searches for student-athletes with a passion for the game and the desire to become better basketball players and that it believes a commitment to excellence empowers the individual growth of all its players. Colorado Basketball Club is an approved 501(c)(3) non profit organization. The program has partnered with MW Premier to provide a single elite platform for Colorado girls basketball.
