Avid4 Adventure Family Trips – Steamboat, Colorado includes activities such as stand-up paddleboarding, rock climbing, hiking, campfires, camp games, and stargazing. Kids ages 5 and up join guided outdoor adventures on Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm while Avid4 Adventure provides all necessary equipment for activities and transports children to their day of adventure. Avid4 Adventure provides and sets up all tents and kitchen equipment and cooks filling, nutritious meals for participating families.

The program’s experienced staff lead kids ages 5 and up on activities and begin every activity with a discussion about the risks involved, how to prevent them, and how to respond if something goes wrong. Children under 5 may attend but stay with parents throughout the trip and require a $50 registration fee. Avid’s instructors handle logistics including setting up camp, cooking, and cleaning, and families reunite each afternoon to share stories, explore together, and spend time around campfires and under the stars. The program is led by David Secunda, former president of the Outdoor Industry Association and a 25-year veteran of the outdoor education industry. Avid4 Adventure states that it believes in the transformative power of the outdoors and that kids at Avid4 Adventure build confidence, make new friends, and learn skills in activities such as paddling, biking, rock climbing, and hiking. Avid4 Adventure is a Certified B Corp, is accredited by the American Camp Association, and has been named among Colorado Parent’s Top 5 Sports Camps. The program is backed by the Avid4 Adventure Guarantee, which states that if Avid4 Adventure does not meet its stated promises, the next Avid4 Adventure camp is free, and Avid4 Adventure operates under a Special Use authorization from the National Forest Service and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
