Ryan Shorter coached at the 2018 PyeongChang and Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and was the PNSA Coach of the Year in 2009. Alex Shorter was awarded coach of the year for the Rocky division of US Ski and Snowboard in 2023 and was recognized as the Coach of the Year by the Pacific Northwest division of the USSA in 2015. Louis Otto was named Coach of the Year by the Pacific Northwest division of US Skiing in 1999 and 2008.

PVA states it is not a one-size-fits-all program and focuses on individualized attention, video review, and a positive environment. It keeps camp sizes small with industry-leading athlete-to-coach ratios. The camps are for strong skiers, and most have race experience to handle Mt. Hood's terrain.
