The program states that it is committed to keeping all athletes safe, healthy, and injury free throughout the year while providing a fun environment to learn the sport. Excel Gymnastics of Steamboat is a Member Club of USA Gymnastics. Many local daycares bring their students for a gymnastics-based physical fitness class, and Steamboat Friends of Gymnastics (S.F.O.G.) is a booster club of parents that supports amateur gymnastics and cheer competition, increases community awareness, and facilitates communication between Excel Gymnastics and S.F.O.G. For Middle School Open Gym, a new signed and updated waiver form is required on file for all participants, and parents must send a signed waiver with their child or come in with their child the first time they attend. The program reports having a well educated and caring coaching staff.
