Diesel Camps provide students with the opportunity to step into the boots of a Service Technician or Diesel Mechanic, and Precision Camps provide students with the opportunity to step into the shoes of an Equipment Precision Technology Specialist. Diesel Days offer the same dealership experience opportunities as Diesel Camps with an abbreviated schedule. Each camp is limited to 20–35 students, depending on the camp.
Costs cover all food, activities, and housing (if applicable) during the day and at night, and meals and snacks are provided by campus dining service for campers staying on-site, including breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner. Two types of multi-day camps are available: overnight camps with housing in campus residence halls managed in collaboration with the hosting campus, and commuter-styled camps that require daily drop-offs and pick-ups. Each camper is provided with custom apparel for the camp and appropriate safety gear for inside the dealerships, and campers must wear closed-toed shoes or boots and full-length pants during their camp experience. Dietary restrictions should be noted on the registration form.
Campers explore the ins and outs of working on equipment alongside certified Diesel Technology instructors, Precision Technology instructors, top industry experts, and current student service technicians. All Diesel and Precision Camps are led by top Diesel and Precision Technology instructors, industry experts, and current student service technicians. Titan Machinery understands that learning about heavy equipment can involve safety risks and will provide a safe environment with trained experts always supervising every camper.
