About
Revolution Field Hockey Camps offers field hockey training through winter and summer camps and clinics that include forehand and backhand shot variety, 2D and 3D skills to move past a defender, dribbling, passing and receiving, tackling, forcing and pressing, and transition play on both sides of the ball. Campers take part in rules instruction, refereeing through application of the rules, small-sided games, and team-based games and scrimmages, with evening activities such as dorm games, an evening meeting, and social time available for overnight campers.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Programs run over 3 or 4 days with options for Full or Half-Day, Overnight, and Extended Day camps; Day and Half Day camps are typically 9am–3pm or 9am–4pm with some half day options in the morning, and Extended Day camps run approximately 9am–8pm.
Programs are offered with more than 6 hours of field hockey practice each day for overnight campers and include camp T-shirts, prizes, and daily scrimmages. Field hockey campers provide their own lunch for Day and Half Day camps and may bring their own snacks for breaks at some half day only camps. Campers are grouped by ability and age, and camps are open to any and all entrants with a positive camper-to-coach ratio and a focus on elimination skills, shot variety, defensive techniques, goalkeeper work, passing and receiving, team concepts, and tactical skills.
Revolution Field Hockey Camps is part of the eCamps Sports Network, which has developed over 100,000 young athletes at camps nationwide since 2001. The program states core values of Excellence, Fun, Improvement, Safety, and Sportsmanship and is committed to helping field hockey athletes of all skill levels reach elite levels of play in tournaments, scrimmages, college, or beyond. The camps feature a highly trained, award-winning staff, with Camp Directors using proven teaching methods and coaching techniques while meeting individual and team-wide needs, and staff are trained to be positive role models on and off the field. Revolution Field Hockey Camps partners with the United States Field Hockey Association (USAFHA), the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), Harrow Field Hockey, CranBarry Field Hockey, LEAP Hockey, and SISU Mouthguards.
