Creative Arts Workshop offers the Creative Arts Workshop program where kids paint, draw, build, stitch, and sculpt. Participants also explore all kinds of art from around the world as part of the activities.

Creative Arts Workshop is a nonprofit regional center for creativity that has served the Greater New Haven area since 1961. It operates in a three-story building with fully-equipped studios in eight disciplines and offers a wide range of visual arts classes and engagement in creativity, along with an active exhibition and public programming schedule. More than 400 courses are offered annually, with more than 1,800 adults and young people enrolling each year, and over 1,000 visitors attending free exhibitions and public programs in its destination galleries throughout the year. The organization presents ThisPlay, an evolving student exhibition shaped through play, chance, and collaboration, featuring work by high school students from the Visual Arts Department at ACES Educational Center for the Arts. Creative Arts Workshop has nine fully-equipped studios: Book Arts, Fiber Arts, Drawing + Painting, Jewelry, Photography, Pottery, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Young People. Its mission states that it is an educational and cultural resource center devoted to fostering creativity through participation in, appreciation of, and leadership in the visual arts. The organization’s core belief is that to create freely is to live fully, and it values diversity, inclusion, and equity at all levels of its organization. Creative Arts Workshop is committed to making programs financially accessible through financial aid and payment plans. Sixty professional artists serve as instructors, and the organization presents ten to twelve exhibitions per year.
