Flag Star Football offers flag football leagues, summer camps, and an Elite league. The program includes options for both new players and all-star players, with boys and girls of all experience levels welcome.

Flag Star Football is led by Commissioner Carl Ehrlich, who captained the Harvard Football team and played professional football in Valencia, Spain. The program’s stated mission is to be an eco-system where kids can Get Better and Have Fun. It is run in conjunction with the Flag Star Football Foundation, and Flag Star Football / The Next Game Project LLC are partners of the Flag Star Football Foundation, working to provide sustainable, impactful programming to kids throughout the DMV and to provide all young athletes the opportunity to play, learn and grow. The organization reports that it has 300 leaders and coaches, has provided 2,845 scholarships in 2025, has enrolled 1,060 girls, and has a scholarships and financial aid policy stating that every kid deserves a chance to play and that they will never turn a kid away, with 0 kids ever turned away due to money. The program includes an ‘Elite’ league for rising 4th–10th graders focused on hard work, competition and doing things the right way, and most camps are open to rising 2nd–7th graders (boys and girls), with select sites offering focused groups for 2nd–5th graders, 6th–9th graders (“Old Dawgs”), and Girls-Only sessions for 3rd–8th graders. Flag Star Football is described as Washington, DC’s Top Youth Flag Football Program and has a partnership with the Washington Commanders for multiple summer camp locations across the DMV.
