About
Washington Capital United offers soccer through a Development Academy, Competitive Travel Teams, an Advanced Training Performance Program, Summer Camp, a Winter Futsal Training Program, and camps and clinics. The program also runs soccer contests and a raffle as part of its activities.

Washington Capital United is a nonprofit soccer organization dedicated to developing players and serves the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. Its mission is to foster physical, mental, and emotional growth in youth through high-quality coaching and a passion for the game, with a focus on building skilled athletes, strong teams, and confident individuals both on and off the field.
The Development Academy is for ages 4–8 and offers a complete introduction to the game with maximum development in a competitive and fun environment. Competitive Travel Teams are for ages 8–17 and provide elite training and competition. Players from travel teams and beyond participate in the Winter Futsal Training Program, and Summer Camp runs across four weeks. Washington Capital United also offers a coaching education course.
Staff credentials include Sophie Aung, who holds a USSF Grassroots license and is working on the USSF D license; Coach Mia Isaac, who holds a USSF Grassroots license and is working on the USSF D license; and Coach Mario Quevedo, who holds a USSF Grassroots license and is working on the USSF D license. The leadership team includes Sophie Aung as Club Administrator and Development Academy Assistant Coach; Coach JP Dias as coach of the WCU 14B Red team; Coach Kalani Takamura as a coach in the Development Academy; and Coach Tudor as Director of Soccer Operations and coach. Summer Camp coaches include Coaches Ossie, Delfo, Alexis, Amanda, and Tudor.
Washington Capital United hosted coaching education with German Football Federation instructor Maik Drzensla during a 3-day intensive. Coaching education was hosted by Global Soccer Development and DC Soccer Club. The club held a Club Night event with soccer contests, pizza, music, and a raffle. Club Night raffle donors included Washington Spirit, DC United, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, the Executive Office of the Mayor of DC, Scotty Bodywork Massage, The St. James, ZomTum: Laos Thai Bistro, Betsy Brandon, Emily Stern, and WCU coaches Jon, Ossie, Tudor, Amanda, Sophie, and Mario.
