About

PlayDCGolf Academy Junior Programs include Spring Break Camps, Summer Camps, private and semi-private lessons, group lessons, leagues, and supervised practices. The program also offers several Operation 36 Golf Program options, including an 8-Week Operation 36 Golf Program, a 1-Day Crash Course Operation 36 Golf Program, and an Operation 36 Beginner Golf Program that teaches golf in reverse, starting everyone at level 1 from 25 yards from the center of the green and progressing through 6 levels until participants can shoot 36 from the full tee box. Range balls and other balls are provided by the instructor during lessons, and the Academy has a wide variety of clubs available for all age groups to use during their lesson, with the option for participants to use their own clubs if they have them.

• Schedule: Supervised practices are held on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM and Sundays at 1 PM, and adult and junior private and semi-private lessons are available for booking from November 1 through March 31; Operation 36 offers both an 8-week program and a 1-day crash course.
• Price: Winter Season Private Lesson Packages are available at a discounted price from November 1 through March 31.

The playDCgolf Academy, founded in 1989, serves over 4500 students annually. Its mission is to develop and serve life-long golfers of all ages and abilities by encouraging students to learn, practice, and play in an environment that makes experiencing the game of golf fast, easy, and fun. The Academy spearheads programs that meet the local community needs of each location to support growth of the game. Lessons are offered for anyone and everyone, with options for all skill levels, ages, and genders, and there is no strict dress code because the courses are public and participants can come as they feel most comfortable. Participants in Operation 36 can enroll at over 800 program locations led by expert coaches and have technology to guide them, and if a student misses one or two classes of a four-week session, supervised practices are offered to make up for a missed class. Range balls are included and provided by the instructor for lessons, and if the lesson is on the putting green, course, or practice holes, balls are also provided. One unique feature is that 100% of the money spent at Rock Creek Park Golf, Langston Golf Course, and East Potomac Golf Links is reinvested in these historic courses and the National Links Trust mission.
