The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, especially those who need the Clubs most, build confidence, develop character and acquire the skills needed to become productive, civic-minded, responsible adults. BGCGW serves nearly 12,000 youth annually through regular Club membership and community outreach across 26 sites that serve as safe havens and are open when schools are not. Across the Greater Washington area, BGCGW uses five key elements for positive youth development: safety, fun, support, opportunity, and recognition.
