American Karate Studios says it has been operating since 1973. Grandmaster James Clapp and Judy O’Neill are instructors at the school. The mission statement says the school helps kids, men, and women become "Champions in everyday life" by providing a culture that fosters Love and Leadership, and it says martial arts is used to develop Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Character Life Skills.
