Ave Maria Dance Academy

Ave Maria Dance Academy offers dance training that includes ballet, jazz, modern, and focused leaps and turns classes. The program includes technique classes, rehearsals, and performance opportunities such as a Christmas show, local events, and master classes with guest choreographers. Company members, chosen by audition only, train a minimum of 6 hours per week in technique classes as well as rehearsals and perform with the AMDA Company.

Ave Maria Dance Academy has been serving Southwest Florida since 2008. Its mission is to provide dancers with high-quality training so they can explore, cultivate, and express their God-given talents while nurturing their love of the performing arts. The program offers sibling discounts, multiple class discounts, homeschool programs, competitive programs, and a family-friendly environment. Company I is for ages 8 and up, Company II is for ages 12 and up, and Company III is for ages 14 and up. Company I requires 3 years of dance experience and a minimum of 5 hours per week of training, including at least 1 hour of ballet per week. Company II requires 5 years of dance experience and a minimum of 6 hours per week of training, including at least 1 hour of ballet per week. Company III requires 7 years of dance experience, a minimum of 7 hours per week of training, at least 2 hours of ballet per week, and requires dancers to be en pointe. The program includes an end-of-the-year recital, and the company showcases its work at a Christmas show and numerous local events, along with exclusive master classes with guest choreographers. The academy does not attend competitions but offers students numerous performance opportunities throughout Florida.
