About

Bright Paths Youth Development Program is part of the Town of Bay Harbor Islands Youth Development Programming. The program is funded by The Children’s Trust as one of more than 140 youth development programs selected through a competitive Request for Proposals and review process.

• Schedule: After-school and summer programming

The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County. Trust-funded Youth Development providers offer programming for children and youth in kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as young adults involved in the child welfare or juvenile justice systems and those living with disabilities. Trust-funded after-school and summer camp programs provide nutritional meals and safe spaces for children and youth, focus on homework and learning, and require physical activity while encouraging health and social and emotional wellness. The Trust is investing over $76 million in Youth Development to support the cost of programming and to expand programming to existing and new providers, including the Bay Harbor Islands program. The Bright Paths BHI Youth Development Program is included in this investment to support children and families through after-school and summer programming in Miami-Dade County. The Children’s Trust President and CEO is James R. Haj, and Joel Jacobi is the contact for Bay Harbor Islands’ Bright Paths Youth Development programming.
