DigiCamp offers hands-on activities in Video Game Programming, Robotics, 3D Printing, Video/Film Production, MakerCamp, and Fabrication. The program focuses on digital projects that involve these specific tools and technologies.
Since 2006, DigiCamp has been providing summer camp sessions for digital kids. The program is owned and operated by lifelong teachers in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. Its founder, Mark Stansell, has been teaching in South Florida schools since 1988 and has taught all grades from Kindergarten through Grade 12 in public and private schools during those 33 years. DigiCamp states that its mission is helping South Florida students prepare for their future and that its summer camp has been teaching 21st Century Skills and Tools since 2006. Mark Stansell has described his approach by saying, “A wise man once told me, ‘Let’s prepare students for THEIR future, not our past,’ this idea led me into STEAM education. I was very fortunate to work with some of the best educators in the world. I am blessed beyond compare.”
