The Learning Tree Preschool

The Learning Tree Preschool includes daily activities in reading and language arts, a listening station, a math and science center, housekeeping, art and fine motor projects, manipulative games and puzzles, block play, computer use, and dramatic play. The daily schedule and curriculum are structured with a centered approach to learning, and daily activities are geared toward the developmental level of the children. A thematic approach is presented in a planned curriculum of activities, and thematic topics are chosen for their high interest to preschoolers, with centers arranged around the room for these specific activities.

The Learning Tree Preschool offers Infant Care, a Toddler Play Group, a 2–3 Year Old Group, a VPK Program, and After School. Socialization is a key factor in planning all center and teacher-directed activities, with emphasis on language development and socialization. The Learning Tree Preschool is accredited with APPLE (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment) and has held this accreditation for over 8 years. It also has a Gold Seal Quality of Care through the Department of Children and Families Child Care Services. The Learning Tree Preschool states that it will be fully committed to providing each child with care, safety supervision, and age-appropriate learning programs. The Learning Tree Preschool states that it shall promote equality in employment practices and enrollment of students in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Section 504.
