YMCA of Southwest Florida Youth Programs and Camps offers day camp, swim lessons, teen programs, and Kids Zone activities. The program also gives participants access to facilities and activities such as indoor and outdoor pools, a family pool and splash pad, gymnasium, playground, indoor and outdoor tracks, pickleball courts, racquetball and handball courts, group exercise classes, strength and cardio equipment, personal training, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. YMCA of Southwest Florida locations also offer youth enrichment, adaptive programs, adult enrichment programs, after school child care, a community garden, meeting rooms, and the YMCA children’s academy.

Camps are progressive so campers can continuously explore new adventures and responsibilities as they grow. The YMCA recognizes the strength of diversity in school-age programs and makes every reasonable accommodation for all children’s success, and very openly welcomes third party paraprofessionals and behavioral therapists to accompany children in programs. Membership includes access to all 10 YMCA locations in Southwest Florida, Kids Zone programs with two hours of childcare free each day while members work out, and special rates on recreational sports leagues, summer camp, adult fitness programs, and more. The YMCA of Southwest Florida strives to make high-quality programs accessible to all families, regardless of financial situation, and offers a scholarship program with scholarship information and applications for eligibility review. One participant, Jim Johnson, states, “When you move so flawlessly in the water, sometimes it kind of feels like air in the water, there’s no bridge between the two. I just love that kind of feeling.” Another participant, Abbie Charleston, says, “Every time I walk into the Y, I see a familiar smiling face. I love teaching yoga and fitness classes and building relationships with the other members.” A third participant, Beth Wilson, shares, “I'm confident my Y workouts and Y support and encouragement will have me in shape to mark it off and then set my sights even higher.”
