About

The Growing Room Child Development Center offers activities such as games, face painting, snow cones, music, circle time, reading, learning a new language, chores, movement, music with scarves and instruments, mindful yoga, computer lab time, specialized art classes, and daily Spanish language practice. Children can also take part in non-competitive, skill-based sports lessons, dance, the Growing Athletes sports program, soccer, karate, regular yoga practice, and a school-wide educational event where they travel around the school and get stamped at each “country.”

• Ages: 0–13 years old
• Schedule: Bonita Springs and Fort Myers locations offer care from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

The program states the mission, “Helping Children Succeed Is What We Do.” Staff members are described as experts in child care with 350 years of combined experience. The center offers onsite speech therapy and behavioral therapy, and computer skills are practiced twice a week, including kindergarten readiness tests conducted on in-class computers.

The Growing Room Child Development Center includes Spanish, art, dance, yoga, soccer, and karate enrichments in tuition, with soccer and karate also available as extracurricular options for a nominal fee. Breakfast, lunch, and after-school snacks are included in tuition in a nut-free and peanut-free environment, and the food is described as free from harmful preservatives, high sugar content, and toxic dyes. Parents can watch live-streaming video of their children through a smartphone app, and the front lobby has an open-door policy where parents can stay and watch their child transition by live-stream video.

The program reports that kindergarten readiness is “100% Guaranteed” and that kindergarten readiness tests are used by teachers. It notes that it is one of the few elite preschools to receive National Apple Accreditation and the Florida State Credential: the Gold Seal of Quality, and that staff have completed Secure Education Training. The center has been nominated and voted the best by the communities of Gulfshore and Bonita Springs for the Readers Choice Award, and it states, “We love our communities and the feeling is mutual.” Parents attend community events where their child showcases their work, and tuition support options are offered.

The Growing Room Child Development Center also hosts a community open house event on July 26 from 9 am to 11 am with games, face painting, snow cones, music, a bumper raffle, and chances to save on enrollment, and no RSVP is required.
