About
Huntington Learning Center offers individualized tutoring and test prep in math, reading, writing, and science, as well as preparation for exams such as the PSAT, ACT, SAT, high school entrance exams, Advanced Placement (AP) tests, state tests, ASVAB, and GED. The program uses a Comprehensive Academic Evaluation to understand each child’s learning needs and then creates a Personalized Tutoring Plan with customized learning based on that evaluation. Tutoring and test prep are available both in-center and online, including through the HuntingtonHelps LIVE online platform.

Huntington Learning Center’s mission is to give every student the best education possible. Certified tutors experienced in all academic subjects provide the instruction, and parents receive ongoing feedback and progress reports. The program offers K–12 tutoring, summer options such as Summer Reading Adventure, Summer Tutoring, and Huntington Advantage, and uses a web-based learning management system launched in 2013. Huntington Learning Center was founded in 1977 by Dr. Raymond and Eileen Huntington, who opened the first center in River Edge, NJ, and the company has been providing education services for nearly 50 years as a family-owned company named after the founding family. The leadership team includes Co-Founders Eileen Huntington and Dr. Raymond Huntington and President and CEO Anne Huntington Sharma. Huntington Learning Center was the first tutoring provider in its industry, earned accreditation by the Middle States Association in 1995, and Eileen and Ray Huntington received the Education Industry Association’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Award in 2005. The program reports average tutoring results of more than 2 grade levels improvement in reading and math, an average ACT score increase of more than 5.4 points, and an average SAT score increase of more than 229 points. Huntington has established Public Private Partnerships and works with schools, state scholarship programs, and juvenile justice systems to provide government-funded, high-dosage tutoring and specialized school programs.
