About

IMG Academy Football Camp includes group training, position-specific skill work, game-like scenarios, and personalized coaching sessions. Camp activities cover position-based drills for quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive and defensive linemen, running backs, defensive backs, and linebackers, along with training specializations focused on mental performance and strength and power. Campers also take part in linear acceleration, maximum velocity, lateral movement, multidirectional agility, explosive resistance training, jumping and plyometrics, efficient power training, and instruction in proper motor patterns, as well as sessions on recovery practices for mind and body.

Quarterbacks work on footwork, proper mechanics, reading every type of coverage, correct Arc 'n Pace, play-calling, and learning a playbook. Wide receivers and tight ends focus on alignment, steps and depth on individual and combination routes, pass-catching skills, and releases off the line of scrimmage. Offensive and defensive linemen work on stance fundamentals and techniques, run-blocking, pass protection, combination blocks, pass rush skills, gap control, and tackling. Running backs train ball security, footwork, blocking, route-running, pre-snap reads, blitz pick-up, and pass-catching skills. Defensive backs and linebackers focus on footwork, ball skills, tackling, blitzing, pre-snap reads, and man-to-man and zone coverage techniques.

Mental performance sessions address self-talk, breathing, imagery, focus, emotional regulation, and goal setting. Leadership and communication activities include team building, verbal and non-verbal communication, identity development, developing relationships, and inspiring and empowering oneself and others. Athlete assessment and injury prevention instruction covers mobility, strength, neuromuscular control, movement patterns, reducing risk of injury, and improving athletic performance.

IMG Academy Football Camp is led by industry-leading coaches with years of playing and coaching experience at the highest levels and is anchored by expert coaches. The on-campus sports physical therapists from Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital provide instruction and guidance on mobility, strength, neuromuscular control, and movement patterns. The football leadership team includes Kyle Brey (Director of Football), Greg Studrawa (National Team Head Football Coach), Chris Dennis (State Team Head Football Coach), Don Zoloty (Assistant Director of Football Strategy/Business Development), Jeff Pond (Regional Team Head Football Coach), Donte Filletti (Head of Football Camp and Recruiting), Koreen Burch (Assistant Football Coach), and Matt Lane (Assistant Director, Football Operations). Kyle Brey’s experience includes roles as Head Football Coach at Ardrey Kell High School, Event Management & Olympic Facility Program Director at Notre Dame, Offensive Quality Control at Ohio State, Tight Ends & Co-Special Teams at Youngstown State, Offensive Graduate Assistant at Nebraska, Offensive Graduate Assistant at Kansas, and Quality Control Special Teams at Kansas.

The camp offers training specializations including Strength, Speed, Power & Agility; Speed & Agility; Mental Performance; Leadership & Communication; Recovery+; Build Your Brand; and Athlete Assessment & Injury Prevention. The Strength, Speed, Power & Agility specialization is available during spring and fall seasons, the Speed & Agility specialization is available during the summer season only, the Mental Performance specialization is available during spring, summer, fall, and holiday seasons, and the Leadership & Communication and Recovery+ specializations are available during the summer season only. The Build Your Brand program was developed by Olympic Gold Medalist Richard Thompson and Dr. Peter Paciorek and is led by IMG Academy experts, and Athlete Assessment & Injury Prevention is delivered by on-campus sports physical therapists from Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.
