About

Chinsegut Conservation Center Educational Programs include outdoor skills and conservation education programs that are open to the public. Participants can take part in activities such as archery, learning about wildlife signs, and compass navigation, which are offered seasonally as weather permits.

• Schedule: Open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.

Chinsegut Conservation Center is an environmental education facility managed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). The center operates under the mission of managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people. It is the only educational facility operated by the Commission's Public Access Services Office. Fun educational programs connect visitors with biologists and wildlife experts to explore and become familiar with Florida’s unique and sensitive natural areas. Visitors can observe wildlife species such as gopher tortoises, white-tailed deer, bobcats, sandhill cranes, and turkeys from hiking trails or at May’s Prairie.
