Rock Creek Academy offers activities in reading readiness, math, literacy, language arts, science, music, social awareness, arts and crafts, sports, and dance. Founded in 1984, Rock Creek Academy later opened its infant and toddler center in 1991. Rock Creek Academy uses its own vans with certified drivers and required seat belts for all children and offers a convenient pick-up service at local elementary schools. Enrollment packets include enrollment information, emergency contact information, discipline policy forms, and county and state-required forms, and families must provide a statement of good health or physical (yellow form #3040) and a certificate of immunization (blue form #680) on the child’s first day. The program follows strict security policies, including not releasing children to anyone not listed on enrollment forms and requiring written notice from a parent to authorize any additional pick-up person. All teachers and assistants are certified, hold degrees in education, or have professional experience in early childhood care, are fully trained in emergency First-Aid and CPR procedures, participate in pre-service and in-service trainings each year, and are fingerprinted and required to pass background checks by local and federal law enforcement agencies.
