Camp Woodland is a privately owned summer day camp where campers take part in field trips, special events, sports, arts and crafts, Color War, and overnight trips. The program includes traditional sleep-away camp experiences such as Camper/Staff Shows, Special Events, and an annual Color War. Camp Woodland describes itself as a FAMILY in every sense of the word and has been making everlasting memories since 1983.

Camp Woodland first opened its doors at C.B. Smith Park in 1983. Its mission is to enrich the lives of children through friendships, new experiences, and traditions in a safe environment where campers try new things, develop self-confidence, and learn to empathize and be kind to others. The leadership team includes founder Susan Siler, who established Camp Woodland in 1983; Lori Anger, Director of Administrative and Organizational Operations; and on-site directors Robert Bourne and Carly Mautner. Lori received her Educational Specialist Degree in School Guidance and Counseling from the University of Florida. The program notes that its Overnight Program and overnight trip are TBD.
Parent and staff testimonials describe Camp Woodland as “the last remaining REAL CAMP” with “that outdoorsy summer camp feeling,” and say the camp is “a safe and fun environment for the kids” and that “there is no place like this out there.” Families report returning for multiple years, and one parent notes using the camp for over three years.
