The Frost Preparatory Program offers classes and private lessons for learners of all ages and experience levels. Students take part in repertoire completion, midterm and final juries, monthly studio classes, Fall and Spring recitals, masterclasses, competitions, scholarship auditions, and lessons with Frost School of Music faculty.
Programs
- Frost Preparatory Program — learners of all ages and experience levels · Classes and private lessons are offered from August through May, with the possibility to extend them during the summer.
- Advanced Piano Program — elementary through high school students · Classes and private lessons are offered from August through May, with the possibility to extend them during the summer. · Exclusive program for piano students who are ready for more intensive and immersive studies.
- Summer Intensive — current students and external students · During the summer (usually in May/June). · Functions as a continuation of the program for current students and gives external students a chance to experience the program’s faculty and activities.

About the provider
Megan Walsh is the Director of the Frost Preparatory Program and Frost Summer Experience. The program says it provides exceptional music education and fosters artistic excellence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music through high-quality instruction and meaningful musical experiences. Students have won top prizes in more than one hundred piano competitions and received scholarships from multiple organizations, and the program cites a 100% acceptance rate into major universities in the U.S. and Europe.
To obtain a certificate of level completion, students must pass all the courses. Piano yearly requirements include repertoire completion, midterm and final juries, monthly studio classes, and Fall and Spring recitals. Students are encouraged to participate in masterclasses, competitions, scholarship auditions, recitals, and lessons with Frost School of Music faculty. External students may waive live auditions by attending the Summer Intensive.
