The Tutoring program connects children and adults with tutoring and related activities. In addition to tutoring, participants can take part in art workshops, music workshops, park fun days, book drives, and school supply drives.

Refugee Assistance Alliance states that its mission is to help underserved refugees find the practical and language support they need to navigate life in their new homeland. The organization connects every interested child and adult student with tutoring services as needed, and its clientele typically includes more children than adults. Children study with in-house tutors or with JaxTHRIVE, and adults are assigned GED, college, or job preparation tutors as needed. Refugee Assistance Alliance also offers cultural and community events for both its clients and the larger community, and works to educate the greater community about the refugee resettlement process and related issues. Staff and volunteers refer clients to community partners and local services as needs arise. Additional programs and supports include Navigating the USA with Community Sponsorship Teams, the Navigating English online English program, Kids’ Club, TASTE dinners for female chef clients, Welcome Baskets and gifted laptops for each family, occasional food, school, or goods distributions, fundraisers or donations for household needs, and an in-house Resource Guide based on clients’ unique needs. The Volunteer Coordinator for these efforts is Noelle Murray.
