Atlantic Coast Theatre (A.C.T.) For Youth presents theatre performances, workshops, and educational programs for children and families. The program includes hands-on workshops such as Stage Combat Techniques. Performances are approximately 40–50 minutes and may be followed by a post-show Question & Answer or Meet & Greet with the actors, if time permits.

Atlantic Coast Theatre (A.C.T.) For Youth is a Professional Touring Theatre For Young Audiences & Families. Since 1999, all A.C.T. For Youth shows have been written by Actor/Educators Noel Holland and Don Gruel, including adaptations of classic children’s literature and original plays that blend entertainment and education. Since 1999, A.C.T. For Youth has given over 4600 performances of 48 productions to approximately 900,000 audience members in 19 U.S. states, and tours year-round with shows that can be performed in performing arts centers, theatres, auditoriums, libraries, museums, multi-purpose rooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and other open spaces. Each production is performed by professional actors with a stated dedication to arts education, and each show is supported by a detailed study guide, with additional workshops and residency programs also available.
The mission of Atlantic Coast Theatre (A.C.T.) For Youth is to bring the art of theatre to children and families, to create performances, workshops, and educational programs that inspire and encourage discussion, and to make a difference in the lives of children. The leadership team includes Producing Artistic Director Don Gruel, Education Director Noel Holland, and Set Designer/Scenic Artist Robbin Watts. Don received his B.A. in Theatre, Cum Laude, from the University of South Carolina in 1993 and became a Recognized Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors in 1995. Noel graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Montevallo in 1996 with a degree in Music Education and received Artist In Schools training with the Phoenix Theatre Circle of Columbus, Ohio.
ACT For Youth has been recognized for its artistic excellence and has received support from the Florida Arts in Education, Artist Performances on Tour Program, sponsored in part by the State of Florida through the Division of Arts and Culture and the National Endowment for the Arts. The program states that it strives to produce high quality touring theatre at prices that are affordable to venues across the United States, with the goal of making the arts accessible to children everywhere.
