About
Hands-on History Programs for Kids & Kids-at-Heart includes activities where participants explore plant and animal fibers, learn many traditional textile skills, and create small accessory items using colorful materials, threads, and buttons. Sessions also include creating beautiful Valentines, exploring calligraphy styles, learning the art of letter-locking used to seal secret messages, making pop-up cards, hand stitching with needle and thread, creating crocheted granny squares, and using crochet skills in new projects. Participants visit the DeLand House Museum, view old photos in a stereoscope, and make a paper toy.
