Achievement Centers for Children & Families Programs has offered childcare and educational opportunities in southern Palm Beach County since 1969. The mission of the program is to empower families facing financial challenges by providing access to early learning, out-of-school, summer camp, teen, and family support programs, and to build a foundation for academic achievement, financial stability, and lifelong success for the children and families served. The programs are described as transformational, improving school readiness, combating food insecurity, and preventing the summer learning slide, and they afford opportunities for under-resourced children to become competitive with their peers. The program works with parents to provide tools and resources to foster children’s development and reduce mental health risks. It also offers case management and emergency services in partnership with community organizations to deliver comprehensive therapeutic care, and it collaborates closely with local partners and sponsors. Achievement Centers for Children & Families Programs is funded through a variety of sources, including annual events such as the Delray Beach Home Tour, Cornhole for the Kids, Swing to Achieve Golf Tournament, and Witches Brew & Ride. FREE VPK program registration is open for the 2025–2026 school year program at Achievement Centers for Children & Families.
