About

Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County – After-School and Summer Programs (Fellsmere Club) offers educational programming where children complete their homework, stay active outdoors, and engage in the latest technologies. During the summer, participants attend exciting field trips to area attractions and enjoy games and activities with their friends and caring staff at the Boys & Girls Club Fellsmere clubhouse.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: After-school hours during the school year, with full-day options on school holidays and in the summer
• Price: For the after-school program, families pay a one-time application fee of $30 as well as a monthly fee; fees are published in the parent portal, and the organization offers 100% and 50% scholarships to families who may need it.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County's mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The organization serves nearly 1,000 children each year through after-school and summer programming and operates three clubhouses in Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Fellsmere as part of a national network of affiliated clubs. The Board of Directors is led by co-chairmen Bill Allard and Paul Hanson, and day-to-day operations are led by Chief Executive Officer Elizabeth Thomason, with each Club managed by a full-time Club Director, a full-time Program Director, and numerous part-time professionals. Boys & Girls Clubs of America has been recognized as “the nation’s #1 youth-serving organization” for 23 years in a row by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and in late 2017 Consumer Reports named Boys & Girls Clubs of America as one of the “Best Charities for Your Donations.” In 2018, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County was named one of the Top 10 Charities to Watch nationally by Charity Navigator, and BGCIRC was named an Agency of Excellence by the United Way of Indian River County as well as the Organization of the Year by 2-1-1 Helpline of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.
