About
Amelia Island Kids Adventure Camp includes activities such as kayak skills, paddleboarding, nature tours, beach and nature tours, swimming, bodyboarding, and kayaking. Campers also spend time finding dolphin and other wildlife during guided nature experiences. Complimentary photography is included during camp activities.

Thomas and Catherine Oliver lead the program as a guide team and opened Amelia Adventures as a family-owned and operated boating and nature tour company. Thomas has over 25 years of kayak and guiding experience, has traveled extensively on outdoor expeditions, and holds an American Canoe Association level III coastal kayaking certification. Catherine is a former Outward Bound Instructor with over 20 years of guiding, kayaking, and canoeing experience, and she is a registered nurse with experience in cardiology, infection prevention, performance improvement, case management, and teaching. The camp follows a mission that focuses on shared experiences in the outdoors and describes the program as a Kids Adventure Camp set against Amelia Island’s natural setting. Amelia Adventures states that it practices Leave No Trace outdoor ethics on all guided tours, and Amelia Adventures notes that complimentary photography is included on every Amelia Adventure. Parents are responsible for providing a packed lunch for children. Thomas’s film, Green River: On the Down Low, won first place for short films at the Amelia Island Film Festival.
