Dance Bochette offers Ballet 1 for young dancers, Ballet 1/2 / Acro for children, Ballet 2/3, Ballet/Pointe, Advanced Ballet, Teen/Adult Ballet, Acrobatics, Alignment & Conditioning, Jazz, Tap Basics, Junior Tap, and Senior Tap. Programs
- Ballet 1 — young dancers · Beginner class that builds on creative movement as young dancers progress into their first steps in classical ballet. It may be paired with beginner acrobatics and/or beginner tap classes.
- Ballet 1/2 / Acro — children · Progresses children in their ballet training and culminates with acrobatic and strength-building exercises.
- Ballet 2/3 — beginner/intermediate
- Ballet/Pointe — intermediate/advanced · Requires a strong foundation in ballet. Students refine technique, build strength, and transition into pointe work.
- Advanced Ballet — students
- Teen/Adult Ballet — teens and adults with prior ballet training · Intermediate class for adults with prior ballet training and teens building their ballet foundations. Instruction stresses alignment and basic movement mechanics in barre and centre work.
- Acrobatics — young dancers · Introduces basic acrobatic skills with a focus on conditioning, upper body strength, total body coordination, inversions, cartwheels, bridges, and partner balances.
- Alignment & Conditioning — more advanced dancers
- Jazz — intermediate/advanced · Exposes students to a range of jazz techniques and choreographers including Broadway style, Fosse, Luigi, and Giordano techniques.
- Tap Basics — entry-level · Students learn use of specialized shoes and steps at the core of tap dancing: tap, flap, shuffle, dig, stomp-stamp, and ball change.
- Junior Tap — intermediate · Intermediate tap technique class that builds on prior knowledge and introduces more complex sounds, movements, and combinations.
- Senior Tap — advanced · Requires a strong knowledge of tap techniques and terminology.

About the provider
Dance Bochette was founded in 1951 and states it is celebrating 75 years. It was founded by Norma Jeanne (Thaggard) Bochette, a former Rockette. The studio says it specializes in Excellence in Dance since 1951. Its mission statement says it inspires students to be their very best selves on and off the dance floor and emphasizes technical, artistic, and personal development in a supportive, nurturing environment. Jeanne Bochette was a founding member of The Community Concert Series, served on the board of the Southwest Florida Symphony and the Lee County Alliance for the Arts, and started Gulfcoast Dance Inc. to further dance-related opportunities to area students, regardless of which studio they attended.
The studio offers classes from creative movement for the youngest dancers to advanced pointe work. It offers supplemental experiences including Florida Dance Masters workshops and dance competitions, carefully screened to ensure they are compatible with the training philosophy and principles.
