Alliance for the Arts Youth Education Programs

Alliance for the Arts Youth Education Programs include Art Classes, Camps, exhibitions, and a Summer Arts Camp for children. The programs take place within a larger arts center that also offers youth education programs for more than 2,400 children each year through these classes, camps, and exhibitions.

Alliance for the Arts Youth Education Programs are part of an organization founded in 1975 by community leaders such as David Robinson and Barbara B. Mann. The mission of the organization is to transform lives and improve the community through the arts. The Youth Theatre Director is Carmen Crussard. The organization’s membership includes more than 50 area arts and cultural organizations and over 1,200 artists and individual members, and it works with the Lee County School District to offer art opportunities for at-risk students and to identify scholarship recipients. It hosts the annual “Fall for the Arts” to highlight area arts organizations, young performers, and artists, and provides free exhibition space for the annual Lee Art Educator’s Association student exhibits and free audition space for the annual Young Artists Awards.
