About
Summer Day Camp includes activities such as STEM projects, arts and humanities, outdoor games, swimming, art, cooking, sports, dance, and character development with a focus on the YMCA core values. Every two weeks, a new theme is introduced, and campers can also join one-week Specialty Camps for more focused experiences.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Day camp runs 7am–6pm, with new themes every two weeks; Specialty Camps run Monday–Thursday in one-week sessions, either 9am–12pm or 1pm–4pm
• Price: Camp Chowenwaw: Members: $170/week, Non-Members: $200/week; Specialty Camps can be added for $50 more for campers already enrolled in Day Camp; $50 non-refundable, non-transferable registration fee per child per camp site; $25 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit for each week; a $10 return fee is added if a payment is returned
For nearly 120 years, the First Coast YMCA’s Camp Immokalee in Keystone Heights has been a retreat for people of all ages in Northeast Florida. The Jewish Community Alliance (JCA) and the First Coast YMCA are partners in the “Together Against Hate: Promoting Unity in Our Community” initiative. Camp registration is available online only, and members receive early access to Summer Camp registration and exclusive savings on camp. In observance of federal holidays, there is no camp on June 19 and July 3.
Weekly payments are set up as automatic payments using the account information on file and draft on Wednesdays at approximately 3am before the week of care. If payment is not made by Thursday before the desired week, on Friday the child is unenrolled and loses their spot for that week. If a child is registered at the member rate, membership must be maintained for the entire duration of camp or the rate changes to the non-member rate. Cancellations with a 7-day notice before the summer camp week are refunded any money paid toward the sessions, minus the non-refundable, non-transferable $25 deposit and the $50 registration fee. Non-attendance does not result in a refund, and no refunds or adjustments are given for partial weeks missed due to illness, vacation, or when YMCA programs are cancelled due to inclement weather. The YMCA may apply any credit due to other outstanding balances, refunds are issued within 30 days of cancellation, and the registration fee and camp deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
