Camp Good News offers Day Camp for Children and Summer Camp for children ages 5 to 12. It also offers the Rooted Follower program for 13-year-olds by invitation and 14-year-olds, and the Discipleship Leadership Program for ages 14/15 and older.
Programs
- Day Camp for Children — 5-12 years old · Summer, Spring, and Fall day camps · $55.95 per week · Summer Special: $55.95 for 1 week of camp; special promotional pricing is available only for families paying camp tuition directly out-of-pocket.
- Discipleship Leadership Program — 14/15 and older · Designed to train and mentor young people to grow in their faith and share it.
- Rooted Follower (RF) program — 13 (by invitation) and 14-year-olds · For those who already know Jesus as their Savior and are ready to serve, learn, and be trained.
- Summer Camp — 5 to 12 · Starting June 8, 2026

- General schedule: Summer camps, spring break camps, and fall/winter break camps. Day Camp runs 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM, with breakfast available starting at 8:45 AM. Early Care and Late Care are available as separate add-ons. Optional busing to and from Gainesville is available for an additional fee.
- Facility hours: Main Camp Hours are 8:45 am - 4:30 pm. Extended Care AM/PM available: 7:00 am - 8:45 am and 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm.
About the provider
Camp Good News is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) serving throughout North Central Florida. Since 1969, it has shared the love of Jesus with children, and the director is Steve Carlson.
This program is designed for children ages 5-12. Camp is designed to be the highlight of the summer rather than a full-summer childcare option. Extended Care is available. Summer Special pricing is available only for families paying camp tuition directly out-of-pocket.
