Camp Good News Florida is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship and is associated with CEF of North Central Florida and CEF of Florida, Inc. It offers day camps in the summer, spring, and fall for 5–12 year-olds, a Counselor in Training program for 13 and 14 year-olds, and a Discipleship Leadership Program for those 15 years and older. The Discipleship Leadership Program combines service roles with daily discipleship by mature Christian leaders. Camp Good News Florida also offers Summer Camps, Spring Break Camps, and Fall/Winter Break Camps and provides a special promotional price to make a week of summer camp accessible for more children.

Camp Good News Florida has operated since 1969, and the summer of 2018 marked the 50th summer of continuous ministry at its current location. Its mission statement is that Camp Good News Florida is a place where Jesus Christ transforms lives through Biblical Teaching, Meaningful Relationships, and Fun Adventures. The camp verses are Proverbs 3:5–6, and there is a tradition of singing the Good News Song as the bus rounds the first curve onto Twin Lakes Road. The camp is a member of the Christian Camp & Conference Association.

The leadership includes Director Steve Carlson of the CEF North Central FL Chapter. The camp notes that the registration fee covers basic necessities like electricity and insurance, and other needs are met through donations. There is a “What to Bring to Camp” section referenced for extra information for parents and campers.
