Luther Springs Summer Camps & Year-Round Programs

Luther Springs Summer Camps & Year-Round Programs include activities such as hiking on great trails, swimming in a pool, archery, and group interaction on large fields. The program also offers an outdoor adventure program that includes whitewater rafting, ropes courses, and rock climbing for 6th–12th graders. It provides on-site resident camp for 1st–12th graders, including Lutheran confirmation camp, along with staff-led youth and adult programs such as men’s and women’s retreats, youth weekends, and family camps.

For over 30 years Luther Springs has provided space where all people can come experience Christ, community and nature in a new way. It is a Christian camp and conference center that offers faith-filled summer camps, retreats and hosted ministries, and it provides year-round programming and event space for conferences and retreats. The Ministries of NovusWay, which includes Luther Springs, state that they provide experiences for all people in God’s creation that inspire faith, build relationships, and transform lives.

Luther Springs is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and is a camp and conference center of the Florida/Bahamas Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It partners with the ELCA Foundation to provide a free Regional Gift Planner. Mitzie Schafer serves as Vice President for Development and previously served for the ELCA Foundation as a gift planner.

The program states that it welcomes all who seek God’s love and grace regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, family status, socio-economic circumstances, physical or mental abilities or citizenship. It lists its values as Inclusion, Renewal, Stewardship, Hospitality, Formation, and Discipleship. One camper, Jay, shared, “I came here as a kid and have had fun ever since. I want others to enjoy this place too.”
