About
YMCA of South Florida Youth Development Programs include day camp, summer camp, specialty camp, afterschool programs, preschool, youth sports, swim lessons, water safety and drowning prevention classes, and adaptive recreation programs. The programs also connect families to group classes such as SilverSneakers®, Aqua classes, Les Mills, Zumba®, and Spinning, as well as private Yoga and private Reformer Pilates sessions led by nationally certified instructors.

For 100 years, the YMCA of South Florida has been dedicated to building healthy, confident and secure children, families and communities, and has been listening and responding to the community’s most critical social needs. The YMCA of South Florida is a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through more than 200 programs, including Youth Development Camp Y at school and community locations with extended learning opportunities at select sites, swim lessons given to the community, community health services, and the Send a Kid to Camp campaign. The organization’s mission is to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, and it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity registered in the United States. Community involvement also includes providing food, clothes, and more to help families, welcoming and connecting diverse demographic populations through community service, building healthier communities through collaborations with policymakers, and distributing pounds of food annually at La Bodega with the support of hundreds of volunteers, donors, leaders, and partners.
