Keys Fishing Camp offers immersive overnight youth saltwater fishing camps that include hands-on fishing adventures and marine biology lessons. Campers take part in saltwater fishing, chasing tarpon, mahi-mahi, and other iconic Florida Keys species, and practice casting techniques, knot-tying, species identification, and ethical catch-and-release methods. The program also includes local ecology exploration, such as exploring mangrove forests, snorkeling seagrass beds, and learning about coral reef conservation, along with team-building activities and skill-building workshops.
Keys Fishing Camp is led by experienced captains, certified educators, and trained staff. The program is described as an adventure education program dedicated to introducing youth to the thrill of saltwater fishing and the outdoors, combining hands-on fishing instruction with real-world education in marine biology, ecology, and sustainable fishing practices. Its mission is to inspire a lifelong passion for fishing, nature, and conservation while creating memories in the Florida Keys, with a strong emphasis on protecting clean water, healthy habitats, and sustainable fisheries and aiming to turn today’s campers into tomorrow’s stewards of the Florida Keys.
