About
Keys Fishing Camp gives campers daily, real fishing time that includes backcountry fishing, offshore fishing, lobstering, sight fishing the flats, exploring mangrove creeks, snorkeling clear-water basins, and running offshore in search of pelagic species. Campers also work on fly casting, rigging, navigation, water safety, conservation practices, teamwork, leadership, and species identification in a structured, small group setting with professional guides.

Keys Fishing Camp is a small-group, overnight program with double occupancy per room and a low camper-to-staff ratio. Backcountry and offshore fishing is guided by professional captains, and campers learn directly from experienced guides and leaders in small, focused groups. The program offers a Backcountry camp with 4 days of backcountry fishing and 1 day offshore, and a Lobster camp with 3 days of backcountry fishing, 1 day offshore, and 1 day lobstering. Sessions are intentionally small, availability is limited, and most weeks fill months in advance. The camp is led by Camp Director and Guide Jeremy Chavez and is described as a mentorship-driven experience with many former campers returning as interns and counselors. The stated mission is to offer a small-group summer experience designed to build confidence, responsibility, and a lifelong connection to the outdoors. A shuttle is available from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
Parent feedback includes comments such as, “Our son absolutely loved camp-the highlight of his summer is probably an understatement,” from Shannon. Megan shared, “He came home inspired. Our son had an incredible experience at camp. He came home inspired and was out fly fishing the very next morning.” Teresa wrote, “We can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for our boys over the years. Camp has been such a fun and meaningful part of their lives, and the Keys truly became a gift to their childhood. It’s been an incredible experience for our family.”
