• Ages: 1–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and activity options Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, plus Mom and Tot free play every other Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
The Mommy & Me program is a fitness-based class for children 14 months to 3 years old. Tiny Tots is for children ages 3 and 4 years old. Early childhood programs introduce children to gymnastics class settings through obstacle courses that parents assist them through, and activities that challenge hand-eye coordination, gross and fine motor skills, and introduce colors and counting. The boys program combines obstacle training, martial arts, gymnastics, and freestyle movement in a high-energy format.
The stated mission of Beaches Gymnastics is to provide the Jacksonville area a fun, motivational, and positive environment to develop confidence, self-esteem, and healthy bodies through the sport of gymnastics. Most of the staff were previously competitive gymnasts. One parent described Beaches Gymnastics as professional, clean, and fully equipped, and noted that the owner focused on child safety during a book launch seminar held there. Another parent shared that an older child was invited to join the competition team after a trial in 2013 and competed for about four years, and that a younger sibling now attends weekly summer camps. Parents have described the summer camps as full of fun activities, well organized, and a way their children built new skills within a few weeks. Other parents have praised the staff at classes and birthday parties, and one parent called it the best place for a child’s birthday after hosting and attending parties there. A parent attending Mom and Tot free play every other Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM said it was the best money they had ever spent. Another parent noted that summer camp check-in and check-out were efficient and safe and planned to sign up again.
