Grit Camp is described as a summer sports camp for ages 6–12 that is designed to develop mental, physical, and emotional resilience in young people. The camp is run by mental performance coaches who draw on decades of entrepreneurial and athletic experience and who teach kids life and success principles using field and court sports and calisthenics as the teaching tools. The counselor group is a carefully curated roster of male and female college and high school athletes in a variety of sports, and the camp claims to have more counselors per camper than any other camp. The core DNA of the program is summed up in the GRIT CREED, which is taught through example, practice, structured play, daily movie and video instruction, and guest speakers, including college and professional athletes and coaches. The leadership team includes Brian Harbin, founder of Grit.org, and Jennifer Harbin, who is described as pivotal to the success of Grit Camp and referred to as the Grit Camp and Grit University mom over the summer.
