About
KidStrong is a science-based kids training program that includes weekly classes with fun activities that promote balance, coordination, strength, and agility. Classes also include puzzles, games, mental challenges, and science-based fitness games. Each week, kids join a 45-minute class in clean, modern centers.
• Ages: 0–11 years old
• Schedule: Weekly 45-minute classes
KidStrong was founded in 2015 by Matt and Megin Sharp in Lexington, Kentucky, and they partnered with Lincoln Brown to turn the idea into a scalable business. The program is guided by a group of experts, child development scientists, and coaches, including leaders such as Patti Eubanks (Preschool & Kindergarten Director), Patrick Ford (Doctor of Physical Therapy), and Dr. Julie Foucher (MD, Family Physician, 4x Crossfit Games Competitor). KidStrong offers camps, including KidStrong Camp, and select centers run KidStrong Academy. Kids walking to age 11 tackle challenges in weekly classes led by expert coaches, and all coaches are certified, professional, specially trained, and described as compassionate leaders. Programming is based on the Whole Child Philosophy and focuses on three pillars: Strong Character, Strong Body, and Strong Mind. KidStrong is a parent-focused program, and classes are reserved for KidStrong members only. KidStrong does not provide medical services, does not accept insurance, and states that it cannot guarantee that a child will learn how to fly. The organization reports more than 160 locations serving more than 65,000 kids per week in markets across the US and Canada, and it celebrated its 100th center opening with franchisee Barb Volk in Plantation, Florida.
The stated mission of KidStrong is to be a science-based kids training program that builds strong, confident, and high-character kids, with programming specially designed by child development experts to improve kids’ emotional, mental, and physical skills, and to focus on the whole child to give kids a foundation to become well-rounded, confident kids.
Parent testimonials include: “It’s incredible. Our daughter goes once a week, and we’ve seen her confidence skyrocket. We are truly grateful for KidStrong!” (Summer, mom, Rocklin, CA). Another parent shared, “When my son first started attending KidStrong, he was super shy and anxious. It's so funny how much he's changed and how confident he has become. I recommend and downright BRAG about this program to my friends and family. I cannot say enough good things about it.” (Jessica, mom, Noblesville, Indiana). A third parent said, “My child has speech delay and communication was difficult. When we first joined KidStrong, my child was behind but the environment motivated him. Now he’s putting effort into learning not just words but cooking, cleaning, you name it..” (Ella, mom, San Antonio, Texas).
