About
Key West Sports Academy offers preschool gymnastics, school age gymnastics, tumbling classes, preschool Lil Ninja, and school age NinjaZone. The program also offers private lessons, gymnastics teams, cheerleading teams, parties, camps, preschool events, Kids Night Out, and confidence-building sports classes.
Key West Sports Academy describes itself as “More Than a Gym — A Launchpad for Life” and focuses on developing confidence, coordination, and foundational skills that set the stage for lifelong learning. Its mission is to teach sports in a way that fosters personal growth, building strong bodies and resilient minds to prepare little ones to take on the world. Programs meet children where they are, provide support and encouragement to help them feel safe, capable, and confident, and celebrate each child's individuality. The program emphasizes rigorous and age-appropriate skill building for sports and school alike, with a focus on what is physically, emotionally, and cognitively right for each child's age, and encourages children to explore, play, and grow at their own pace.
The gym environment includes equipment for all ages and levels, such as wider beams for toddlers, competition quality uneven bars, and a 40' trampoline for beginners through advanced tumblers. Mats cover every inch of the learning space, equipment is cleaned daily, in between classes, and deep cleaned quarterly, and safety inspections are performed on all equipment. Each coach is specially trained in early childhood development, instructional practice, and professional cat herding.
Key West Sports Academy is led by owner Suzanne Trosset. Suzanne Trosset has been in the gymnastics industry for over 25 years and has been a gym owner for going on two decades. The program is committed to upholding the SafeSport guidelines.
