Key West Sports Academy offers preschool gymnastics, school age gymnastics, tumbling classes, preschool Lil Ninja, school age NinjaZone, sports classes, and gymnastics and cheerleading teams. The program also offers private lessons, make ups and absences, parties, programs, camps, preschool events, and Kids Night Out.
The owner of Key West Sports Academy, Suzanne Trosset, has been in the gymnastics industry for over 25 years and has been a gym owner for going on two decades. Each coach is specially trained in early childhood development, instructional practice, and professional cat herding. The stated mission is to teach sports in a way that fosters personal growth, building strong bodies and resilient minds to prepare little ones to take on the world. Key West Sports Academy is committed to upholding the SafeSport guidelines. The gym includes equipment for all ages and levels, such as wider beams for toddlers, competition quality uneven bars, and a 40' trampoline for beginners through advanced tumblers, with mats covering every inch of the learning space. All equipment is cleaned daily, in between classes, deep cleaned quarterly, and safety inspections are performed on all equipment. The program offers confidence-building sports classes that tap into the magic of childhood to empower kids and families, with a focus on developing confidence, coordination, and foundational skills that set the stage for lifelong learning. Programs meet children where they are, focus on what is physically, emotionally, and cognitively right for each child's age, and encourage children to explore, play, and grow at their own pace. Staff work with families to become the gymnast’s personal hype squad, are thoughtful about the way they lead children, and strive to make organized sports a positive experience. Programs also include skills that last beyond the gym, such as learning how to line up and falling safely, and celebrate each child's individuality while helping them grow stronger and more confident with each new skill.
